The story
I found myself in another spiritual slump where opening my Bible felt impossible, even though it was sitting right in front of me. I was frustrated with myself because I know what it feels like to be consistent. In other seasons I read every single day. But for whatever reason, in that season of life, I just could not get there.
I tried to-do lists, apps, reminders. After a while you start to realize they all do the same thing. They just tell you that you have another thing to do. That is where the idea for Just a Text came from. A text that checks in on you the way a friend or accountability partner would, one that adjusts to where you actually are, not to shame you but to walk with you through a verse or a prayer.
All that to say, if this helps even one more person open the Word, just once, it was worth building.
